Position Summary:

Help conceptualize and create compelling effective content for the website,
email marketing, search engine optimization campaigns, and marketing campaigns, including PR, direct mail and literature. The ideal candidate will have the ability to think strategically and work productively as part of a marketing communications team. Well-rounded knowledge of the Web, as well as a familiarity of leading trends in usability, online marketing and traditional advertising is a must.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Responsible for developing, writing, and editing creative and technical copy for a variety of marketing communications tactics including digital advertising, print advertising, email, sales enablement tools, brochures, catalogs, infographics, guidebooks, whitepapers and case studies

  2. Work with Subject Matter Experts (SME) inside the business to uncover possible writing topics, pull product or customer information, investigate approaches to enhance the writing and make it more relevant and manage review and approval process

  3. Work with internal and external customers, to prepare copy content for online and offline communication tactics.

  4. Collaborate with Creative Services team to determine the conceptual and copy direction,
    ensure copy tone and style align with customer personas and are consistent with visual tone, style aland brand guidelines.

  5. Manage and publish press releases to distribution lists through a PR database and pitch stories to media outlets.

  6. Ensure projects are completed in a timely manner.

  7. Other duties as assigned

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Bachelor degree

  • Minimum 2 years of work experience copywriting in an internship or relevant business environment

  • Must be able to work effectively in Microsoft Office, particularly Word.

  • Must have an understanding of advertising, media relations and direct marketing.

  • Must have exceptional writing skills, including the ability to write in a range of voices and
    styles for varied projects, with diverse audiences and concisely
    communicate complex subject matter(s).

  • Must be self-motivated, enthusiastic and demonstrate an understanding of the Web industry and technologies, particularly as they relate to search engine marketing.

  • Proactive thinker, who is a self-starter, needs limited supervision and can manage multiple
    tasks and meet tight deadlines.

  • Excellent proofreading skills and attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

  • Must be able to work on several projects and meet tight deadlines.

Desired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Bachelor degree in English, communications, and/or journalism preferred

  • Writing for industrial and or B2B client projects

  • Writing for web and ecommerce executions with an awareness of and appreciation for SEO

  • Marketing or advertising background preferred
