Norris is currently seeking individuals to fulfill the role of Overnight Residential Care Specialist in our Group Care Program at our Mukwonago campus.   The typical schedule for the Overnight team is 10:00pm to 8:00am.  As a Residential Care Specialist at Norris you will have opportunities to positively impact the lives of the young men in our care, while at the same time further developing and enhancing your skills as a Human Service professional. Services provided promote the Norris mission and practice philosophy for providing responses to the youth in a way that utilizes a Trauma Informed Care approach.

Under the direct supervision of the Overnight Supervisor, the Overnight Residential Care Specialist, will have the responsibility of supervising and regularly monitoring the youth in care to ensure they are present, safe and their needs are met during their sleeping hours. The Overnight Residential Care Specialist will be expected to remain alert at all times, which includes maintaining awareness of the location and activities of the youth and being readily available to youth as needed.  The Overnight Residential Care Specialist is also responsible for being aware of their surroundings and reporting any unusual activity within the hall and outside of the hall to the Leader on Duty.  

The Overnight Residential Care Specialist shall demonstrate the ability to multitask and find creative ways to handle the various needs that arise on the overnight shift, including maintaining the environment and the cleanliness of the hall and other areas of the campus.  The Overnight Residential Care Specialist position requires that the individual be able to work a flexible schedule that is subject to change to meet the program’s evolving needs at any time and may include weekends and/or holidays.  

An Associates or Bachelors degree in a social or behavioral science is preferred.  Will consider experience in a related field and/or experience in a recognized treatment setting.
