To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Candidate must have the ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. This individual must be able to read and comprehend all mechanical detail and exploded assembly drawings, Electrical and Pneumatic schematics, related parts Bill of materials and parts terminology.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and experience operating ammonia refrigeration systems and/ or Freon experience.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to fingers; handle; and feel; reach with hands and arms; climb; balance; stoop; kneel; crouch; or crawl; and talk and hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision; distance vision; peripheral vision; and ability to adjust focus. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Must be willing and able to wear an OSHA approved full face respirator, both filtered air and supplied(SCBA).
While performing the duties of this job, the employees are regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts and high, precarious places; extreme heat and cold. While employee is performing regular duties they are also exposed to possible risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
