We are offering a signing bonus of $1000.00

Job Purpose:
The Division of Milwaukee Child Protective Services contracts with SaintA to provide child welfare services to about 900 families including nearly 1,200 children. We work diligently to provide them with services that ensure safety, permanence and well-being.

  • Consistently support and monitor the safety  and well being of children to assess for present and impending dangers
  • Engage all family members including fathers in family team model
  • Facilitate and conduct in-home visits
  • Conduct and document safety assessments
  • Facilitate and monitor change planning to ensure families have the opportunity to enhance parental protective capacities by creating goals with families
  • Facilitate and connect families to community resources and make appropriate referrals to resources
  • Refer for Transfer of Guardianship/Subsidized Guardianship/Termination of Parental Rights to the DA's office or document exception in WISACWIS per timelines
  • Support children and families in the post-TPR process
  • Provide accurate and professional documentation in case notes, summaries, assessments and paperwork
  • Collaborate with Child Welfare and Foster Care teams.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Social Work (BSW) or a related field, Master's Degree (MSW) preferred
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in child welfare and/or a related human services field
  • Ability to demonstrate critical thinking skills, detail oriented, highly effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of community resources
  • Experience working in diverse communities with youth and families
  • Ability to drive within the community and State of Wisconsin for client and/or meetings
  • Have own transportation, valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record, meet agency auto insurance requirements.

  • Reports to Child Welfare Supervisor
  • Starting salaries are based on experience and education, Case Manager salaries range from $40,000 - $56,160.
