Wait Staff

Job Summary: 
Within the framework and objectives and policies established by the Campus Administrator, Food Services Director, and the Dining Services Supervisor, perform a variety of tasks and duties as assigned in relation to dining services. Serve residents, guests, visitors and staff members in designated dining area, and various areas designated as dining areas. Set-up and bussing of tables during and after meals, and/or special events to include cleaning and maintaining dining service area.
 
Essential Functions:
Service of residents during meal times. Portion food and beverage items for meal service. Set and bus tables in dining areas. Clean and maintain dining and service areas including counters, tables, chairs, walls, furnishings and floors and all other affected common areas May initiate and complete tray service delivery and pick-up for residents. Deliver clean dishes, cups, glasses, bowls and tableware to storage areas. Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors. May assist staff with dining services to include: Off-load dish washing machine, or hand wash items which are not machine washable. Set-up and clean up of private parties and functions. Assist with training new personnel. May be called to work in another department to perform tasks as needed. Acknowledge, comprehend and support the residents and the Resident Bill of Rights. Maintain confidentiality of both residents and staff. Comply with all required local, state and federal regulations Attend and participate in committee meetings, trainings, in services, community events as required
 
Qualifications:
Must be at least 14 years of age. Ability to read and understand, written or verbal labels and instructions in English. Ability to work cooperatively as a support staff with all departments of the organization. Attend and participate in departmental meetings, in-services, training, and community events as required. Availability to work nights, weekends and holidays.
