Job Description

Telsmith, Inc. a worldwide leader, ISO certified, high quality manufacturer of crushing equipment for the quarry and mining industries has an excellent opportunity for an experienced and qualified Shipping & Receiving Supervisor on 1st Shift.  This position will be responsible for organizing and assigning specific jobs and tasks relating to receiving, pulling parts for production staging and shipping warranty, repair parts and machines.  Requires coordination and priority planning with internal customers that include: life cycle, parts sales, application sales, traffic, and production groups.  Responsible for maintaining 6S processes including a clean, safe, organized storage area with parts accurately located and controlled.
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
 
Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

  1. Supervise assignment and timely completions of warranty and repair parts orders.
  2. Organize, plan and supervise timely shipments of machine orders.
  3. Supervise daily receipt of incoming items.
  4. Supervise picking and staging of warehouse items for production.
  5. Schedule in-bound containers for unloading.
  6. Responsible for ordering and controlling shipping, packaging and supply expenses.
  7. Approve employee records for time and labor on a daily basis.
  8. Maintain 6S standards.
  9. Monitor overtime scheduling and equalization requirements.
  10. Schedule out-bound freight requirements.
  11. Prepare packing lists and bills of lading as needed.
  12. Assist in daily cycle counting supervision.
  13. Participate in special projects as assigned
Additional Requirements 
  1. Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint proficient.
  2. Microsoft Dynamics AX software experience is a plus.
  3. Ability to read drawings and prints.

Position requires leadership and communication skills acquired through education or previous experience and process familiarity gained by working in shipping & receiving.  Position requires the capability to manage people and processes in a fast-paced, technical, and unionized environment.   Excellent wage and benefits package.
