Dynamometer Test Specialist (Instrumentation)

Job Description
STS Technical Services is currently hiring a Dynamometer Instrumentation Test Specialist! This position will be working in a state of the art New Product Development facility. This is a long term contract opportunities set for 18+ months. 1st shift support on engine / engine component durability testing. The role is focused on Dynamometer (Instrumentation) Testing. 1st shift is from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Set-up and configuration of test automation systems
· Support all engine dyno testing
· Data acquisition
· Test Monitoring
· Proficient in the set-up and calibration of test instrumentation and data acquisition systems
· Proficient in the troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of test instrumentation / test cell systems
· Requires experience in interacting with individuals of different skills / job levels, including internal customers, in a self-directed team environment
Preferred Skills:
· Knowledgeable in the operation of an engine dynamometer test cell
· Knowledgeable in the set-up, operation and troubleshooting of dynamometer data acquisition / automation systems
· A background in motorcycle powertrain or small engine dynamometer testing
· Analysis of the test results to provide decision ready information
· Demonstrates understanding of Continuous Improvement tools and processes through successful participation / execution of continuous improvement projects and/or initiatives
Qualifications:
· Prior work experience in a testing lab environment
· Experience working with diagnostic tools
· Dynamometer
· Engine Testing
· Fabrication Experience
· Associates Degree in a Technical discipline is preferred
