Essential job functions:
*Manage and direct Quality Assurance Technicians, providing coverage for the absence of key personnel.
*Oversee all in-plant Food Safety issues and all Food Safety Training.
*Monitor and verify HACCP critical control points.
*Oversee and coordinate in-plant HACCP programs, develop, review and update HACCP plans.*With Sales Manager, Operations Manager & Processing Managers, investigate customer complaints and assist with implementation of changes asneeded in manufacturing procedures to eliminate causes.
*Verify all labeling and coding of product.
*Maintain Child Nutrition program
*Maintain relationships with WDATCP and FDA, keep up to date on all changes as they apply to Echo Lake Foods' products.
*Continually examine and review plant processes in order to identify and remove potential areas of concern to quality or food safety.
*Develop more effective training procedures to address food safety and other areas related to Quality Assurance and operations.
*Maintain GFSI (SQF) in-plant as required.
*Investigate and initiate continuing education programs for Quality Assurance employees.
*Maintain in-plant water/well certifications.
Minimum requirements:
*Must have at least 4 years of Quality experience.
*Excellent communication skills
*Excellent analytical and math skills.
*HACCP certified
Abilities required:
*Must be physically able to walk throughout all plant areas and climb ladders and step stools as required.
*Must be able to lift 30-40 lbs.
*Visual acuity in order to detect quality variations and food safety situations.
*Excellent English skills required
*Bilingual in English/Spanish (read/write/speak) preferred.
