Position Description

EnSafe is accepting applications for a Staff Geologist/Environmental Scientist based out of EnSafe's Knoxville office.

What We Are Looking For

As a Staff Geologist/ Environmental Scientist you will work on a wide range of projects in an environment that fosters creativity, collaboration at all levels, a culture of support, and professional growth. What You Will Be Doing:

  • Performing Phase I/II environmental site assessments
  • Preparation of work plans
  • Conducting site investigation activities (sampling of soil, groundwater, surface water, indoor air, vapor intrusion, soil gas, drinking water, and building materials)
  • Provide environmental compliance support to senior regulatory specialists, including data collection for permitting and/or registration; regulatory compliance evaluation and assessment; and preparation of plans and reports.
  • Field documentation
  • Assist in writing technical reports

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's (preferred) degree in Geology, or Environmental Science
  • Between 2 and 5 years of experience
  • Outstanding proficiency in Microsoft Programs including Word and Excel
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Regional travel likely


Ideally, you'll also have:

  • Pervious internship(s)
  • PG
  • Professional registration, certification, GID, geotechnical, and/or geophysics experience
