- Engineers, designers, and drafting personnel as assigned
- Primary Responsibility
- Engineering design, planning, development and technical management of assigned, simple to moderately complex, engineering projects with minimum oversight.
- Major Duties
- Responsible for interpretation of and compliance with customer purchase specifications.
- Direct and/or develop design concepts and models from product specifications within cost and budget goals.
- Responsible for coordinating all engineering efforts, to meet budget and schedule, when assigned lead engineering responsibility.
- Make or supervise preparation of layout drawings.
- Perform calculations.
- Prepare detail and assembly drawings when drafting assistance is unavailable.
- Direct and/or perform checking and approval of drawing packages and calculations
- Confer with engineering management on problems encountered and questions arising on project.
- Develop requirements for and specify purchased components.
- Communicate with other engineering departments on project requirements.
- Primary contact for all customer technical inquiries and interface.
- Prepare proposals and concepts with estimated engineering effort from customer specifications and to marketing requirements without, or under limited, supervision from other more senior engineers.
- Participate in design reviews and other assigned activities.

- Education Preferred/Special Notes:
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (B.S.M.E.)
- Experience in fluid power circuit and analysis.
- Demonstrated aptitude in troubleshooting hydraulic systems.
- Able to detail out layouts and schematics for hydraulic automation systems.
- Able to size hydraulic system components (pumps, HP, flow rates, valves, cooling systems, etc).
- SolidWorks or 3D parametric modeling and AutoCad Mech/Elec
- MathCad or calculation software and FEA
- MS Project
