Advocate Aurora Health Care Optician This positions is located at 5300 Memorial Dr. Two Rivers, WI OR Our Sheboygan Office. You will not work at both locations. Part time 48 hours per 2 week pay period (benefit eligible). 3 days a week 8 hour shifts. Starting time from 8 30 9 30am and ending time from 5 6 30pm. Some weeks may need to work full time to cover for vacations.

Responsible for performing a variety of ocular examinations and procedures assisting the provider with patient care and the daily operating functions of the department. Assists in maintaining accurate records. Coordinates the timely flow of patients through the physician's schedule to maintain efficient patient care. Assists in educational and technical training sessions

Organizes and prepares exam rooms and work areas including cleaning, stocking, ordering supplies, checking equipment, and putting away equipment. Organizes and prepares exam rooms, including ordering supplies, stocking and cleaning equipment. Prepares patient for exam and assists physician. Obtains and records ocular and medical history, medications, and chief complaint.

Interprets prescriptions and assists patients in selecting appropriate eyewear. Takes optical measurements. Measures and fits all eyewear. Instruct patients in cleaning and handling of eyewear. Evaluates patients with assistance in lens type based on their needs. Repairs, adjusts and dispenses prescription lenses and frames. Inspects all eyewear to ensure quality prior to
