Due to continued growth, we are looking to add a Manufacturing Engineering Technical Lead to our team.  
 

This position will be responsible for the design and implementation of new processes, new technologies, and other process improvements for new and existing products, utilizing Lean tools and methodologies such as PQPR.  This position will work closely with Sourcing, Planning, and Engineering functions to assess manufacturing capabilities and capacities and outsource/in-source parts as the need arises.  This position will manage CapEx or other continuous improvement projects and will provide support to the existing Manufacturing Engineering team.  The Manufacturing Engineering Technical Lead will be assigned to improve Manufacturing Engineering practices, create routings, or work instructions, and mentor new or inexperienced Engineers.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field, and experience in factory environments with an increasing level of responsibility and significant accomplishment.

  • 5-10 years’ experience in metals manufacturing, including experience with high precision products, and low volume, high mix manufacturing, preferred.

  • Experience in working with local and offshore suppliers in outsourcing manufactured parts.

Technical Requirements:

  • Ability to review and interpret gear, shaft, housing, and other blueprints and design appropriate manufacturing processes either internally or in collaboration with external suppliers. 

  • Proficient in the use of GD&T.

  • Ability to analyze capacity data to determine the best fit for parts in the production process. 

  • Ability to perform root cause analysis to address production and quality issues.

This position will be based in our Racine, Wisconsin facility.
