Job Description
Under the direction of the Director, eBusiness this position administers United Way digital solutions while providing strong internal and external customer support and training.  Responsibilities include configuration and support of digital giving platforms and Microsoft SharePoint.  This position leads all eBusiness training and donor support systems.  Supports departmental strategy and the adoption of future tools and technologies.  This position reports to the Director, eBusiness

RESPONSIBILITIES
Include the following, but are not limited to:

DIGITAL FUNDRAISING ADMINISTRATION
  • Manage a portfolio of customer fundraising websites. Use a content management system (CMS) to configure and optimize sites. Includes preparing employee data files for import, reviewing CMS settings for accuracy, generating fundraising reports, and supporting transfer of transactions to corporate payroll systems.
  • Provide strong customer support and relationship building with workplace ambassadors. Includes developing strategies to ensure an effective giving campaign with an emphasis on maximizing fundraising potential.
  • Create fundraising reports and perform giving analyses for internal and external customers.
  • Lead donor support functions. Provide donor phone and email support, strategize and lead donor help line triage system, reviews call logs and make suggestions for changes to the eBusiness processes to improve donor experience.
  • Provide direction to the seasonal donor support staff.
  • Maintain security of sensitive workplace data, including employee information, to meet our contractual obligations regarding appropriate use of customer data.
  • Set up and maintain user security profiles in CMS.
  • Act as liaison between Finance and IT for digital fundraising administration. Provide direction in upload of transactions from CMS to campaign database. Responsible for executing follow-up data reports, corrections, research, or communication necessary specific to reconciliation issues.
  • Support other United Ways in network with donor questions and reporting. 

DIGITAL FUNDRAISING SYSTEMS STRATEGY
  • Participate in research of new fundraising systems and continued innovation of United Way’s digital donor offerings.
  • Review process for system improvements and customer service enhancements. Seek innovative uses of the product suite to further the campaign efforts and communication of United Way’s community impact agenda.
  • Provide support to United Way’s fundraising department in the marketing and sale of online services to customers.

MICROSOFT SHAREPOINT ADMINISTRATION
  • Lead Microsoft SharePoint strategy to improve United Way processes. Move key business functions to SharePoint. Provide internal configuration, training and documentation support.
  • Use SharePoint to manage workflow configuration.
  • Establish and enforce SharePoint policies.
  • Create and assist with process improvements.
  • Manage system permissions and data security.

eBUSINESS TRAINING
  • Lead the internal and external training strategy and development of supporting documents for United Way’s online fundraising systems.
  • Train internal and external campaign management users. Provide users appropriate training for electronic campaign tools.  Including but not limited to staff, volunteers and campaign ambassadors.
  • Document processes for training resources and reference materials.

eBUSINESS DEPARTMENT COVERAGE
  • Stay current on all of the systems within the eBusiness Department to be able to serve as a resource when the project lead is unavailable.
  • Provide training to other eBusiness department staff on systems.
  • Provide guidance and suggestions on eBusiness applications when appropriate.
  • Back-up the Director, eBusiness when necessary.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university or equivalent advanced training to qualify for a bachelor’s degree.
  • 1 - 3 years experience in related application support and/or client relationship work is preferred.
  • Application certification required within six months of entering position.
  • Experience with HTML is preferable.

  • Ability to act as a liaison between departments and prioritize conflicting deadlines.

Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers.  Ability to effectively present information to staff, management, public groups, and/or other constituents. 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY
Strong ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.  Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instruction in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
