Apprentice Mechanic

The apprentice mechanic position consists of performing basic preventative maintenance services such as checking fluid levels, changing oil, and lubricating a wide range of small and large construction rental equipment. The position also includes ongoing training and development with how to troubleshoot and repair e lectrical, hydraulic, ignition, pneumatic systems, diesel and gas engines as well as drive trains. May deliver equipment or parts occasionally.
Required Skills and Experience
Ability to approach each work assignment and client interaction in an energetic, enthusiastic manner and act with urgency
Working knowledge of construction equipment is preferred
Experience in Electrical, Hydraulic, and Diesel Engine preferred
Valid driver's license
Excellent verbal and written English communication abilities
Physical exertion required. Including, but not limited to, walking, standing, stooping, bending and lifting up to 90 pounds
Frequent exposure to the elements
Responsibilities
Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on various types of heavy construction equipment
Provide high quality control standards while maintaining high levels of equipment readiness
Able to work a rotating on-call weekend schedule
