Job Description
Join our team who is committed to the delivery of the highest quality health care service. We are seeking a full-time Mental Health Support Worker that is self-motivated, energetic, and a take charge individual.

Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and implement therapeutic groups for the patients, including goals, interventions, and desired outcomes.
  2. Participate in weekly multidisciplinary case reviews, psychiatric consultations, and consultation with team members on cases as needed.
  3. Document treatment notes on each active client as dictated by DHS 40.
  4. Engage in weekly clinical supervision by the clinic coordinator or other licensed staff as required by DHS 40.
  5. Apply principles of behavior modification, social skills, cognitive therapy and other evidence-based practices to the child and adolescent day treatment setting.
  6. When appropriate, assist in restraint and seclusion if/when patients become physically aggressive.
Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor’s degree in the area of education, human services or related area. A minimum of two (2) years of work experience serving children with mental health disorders OR minimum of six (6) years of work experience and training providing direct services to children with mental health disorders.
  2. American Heart Association Health Care Provider CPR certification or American Red Cross Professional rescue is required within thirty (30) days of the date of hire. Annual re-certification is required.
  3. Formal training in management of aggressive patients is required within sixty (60) days of the day of hire (this may be provided during the orientation process). Annual recertification is required.
  4. Familiarity with DHS 40.
  5. Bilingual (Spanish/English or Hmong/English) preferred.
