Customer Technical Services Representative
Oconomowoc, WI
Job Description

The Technical Services Representative investigates and evaluates Silgan Containers' customer quality concerns, while also testing and qualifying new containers and materials. Silgan's customer-focused philosophy will require the majority of your time to be spent in a face-to-face environment with our customers.
What you'll do:
* Serve as a technical liaison to Silgan's customers and Silgan's manufacturing facilities
* Develop and foster relationships with customers and provide technical education
* Investigate and evaluate customer quality concerns with guidance from Technical Services management on customer response
* Coordinate testing at customer plant locations to qualify new containers or materials for projects related to new product development, new line commissioning, cost savings, or regulatory concerns
* Travel domestically up to 25% annually, overnight stays may be required
What we need you to have:
* Willingness to learn - Silgan provides technical training
* Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline like Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, Packaging, or Engineering or 8+ years of relevant, equivalent experience may be considered in place of formal education
* Computer proficiency in MS Office
* Ability to successfully manage multiple high priority projects
* Experience working with customer quality concerns preferred
