Job Description
The Data Report Analyst is responsible for optimizing the use of analytic tools and developing reports from various sources to support organizational quality improvement and meet external reporting requirements.  This position is responsible to test and/or validate reports for accuracy and support annual UDS submittal. 
 
 
Responsibilities:
 
  1. Design, implement, test and maintain reports from multiple sources, including the EMR, to support organizational QI, external reporting requirements and inform key dashboards.
  2. Optimize use of existing analytic tools and resources such as patient registries and scheduled reports.
  3. Test and validate key reports to ensure accuracy prior to publishing, including those impacted by new EMR releases.
  4. Use statistical techniques to analyze and display clinical data in a meaningful way to facilitate data driven decision making and continuous improvement.
  5. Coordinate external reporting of organizational QI data at a local, state and national level ensuring accurate data with a timely submittal.
  6. Support data transparency by publishing key analysis and/or dashboards on organizational QI SharePoint site.
  7. Coordinate organizational quality data integrity plan and quality indicator data dictionary.
  8. Act as consultant to operational areas on report writing technical expertise and or analytics.
  9. Collaborate with EMR Clinical Coordinator and Clinical Informatics Analyst to facilitate workflow changes needed to facilitate accurate reporting.
  10. Comply with SSCHC TB Control Plan including PPD testing.

Qualifications: 
  1. Bachelor’s Degree in a related field required. Master’s Degree preferred.
  2. At least 2 years of related experience, with 4 or more preferred.
  3. Effective ability to understand requirements in whole and in detail.
  4. Proficient in the use of data analysis tools (eg: run charts, control charts) and techniques, including statistical analysis.
  5. Strong technical problem-solving skills to investigate, debug and effectively report issues.
  6. Expert-level Excel user.
  7. Experience with:
    • Relational databases, including Business Objects, SQL or Clarity
    • Data mining in various tools
    • Programming languages
  8. Experience in health data analysis, business analysis, technical documentation, and data management in a healthcare-related field.
  9. Effective verbal and written communication skills, especially in communicating technical information. Capable of preparing and delivering data summaries.
  10. Strong interpersonal skills that can be used to effectively collaborate on work with others. Ability to interact well with individuals, both internally and externally, and effectively communicate technical or statistical information and specifications.
  11. Self-driven with the ability to work independently. Demonstrates a results-orientation, determination, ownership of responsibility, reliability, and accountability, and yet functions as a team member and follows direction as part of a team under general supervision.
  12. Experience working with healthcare data is preferred.
  13. Proficient in medical terminology and knowledge of coding systems (ICD-10, CPT, etc)
  14. Willingness and ability to adapt to change, including advances in technology.
  15. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to handle tasks independently.
  16. Ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  17. Excellent customer service skills and commitment to providing the highest level of customer satisfaction.
