A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A ROUTE DRIVER
As a Route Driver, you are responsible for collecting and transporting raw materials from our broad customer base back to facilities and transfer stations. Our customers range in size from small-scale butchers, grocers, up to large-scale food processors. Driving a straight truck or a tractor-trailer, you collect materials from multiple customers along your route each day.
You always inspect raw material for any foreign or hazardous material at the time of pick up. Conscientiously, you provide each customer with a receipt of pick-up and obtain the signature of the appropriate management at the location. After completing your route, you scale your truck at the facility or dock and go home.
You manage your route with an onboard computer (OBC) and also keep an up-to-date backup paper log for compliance purposes. Taking responsibility for your truck, you keep it clean and complete a vehicle condition report on a daily basis. You provide exceptional professional service to all customers and follow all laws and regulations. You love that you get to hit the road for a living, while still being home every night!
