The role of the Maintenance Technician is to provide building, equipment, and grounds support for the manufacture of Avidity Science products in accordance with Avidity Science specifications and quality standards.

Key Job Responsibilities:
- Perform tasks related to the maintenance and upkeep of the facility, equipment, machinery, and grounds.
- Perform regular preventive maintenance on equipment, machines, and facilities
- Perform routine electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and plumbing repairs
- Troubleshoot, research, and diagnose problems. Apply appropriate solutions.
- Work with contractors and other external resources to troubleshoot issues and complete assigned tasks.
- Maintain a neat and orderly work environment following the 5S standards.
- Use software to perform material and shop floor related transactions.
- Use computer to enter labor hours.
- Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor/Manager.
Skills, Knowledge, Abilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- Knowledge of standard manufacturing and business tools, including Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of Safety Data Sheets for chemicals used in department.
- Knowledge of CNC with Fanuc controls.
- Knowledge of Injection Molding Equipment & Software
- Knowledge of Heat, Spin, & Sonic welders
- Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in written business correspondence.
- Ability to learn quickly and independently.
- Ability to adapt to rapidly changing environments.
- Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals, blueprints and facility drawings.
- Ability to interface with customers and contractors.
- Ability to translate technical product knowledge to both technical and non-technical customers.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions.
- Ability to logically troubleshoot and problem solve.
- Ability to perform light welding, plumbing, electrical and machining duties.

- The employee is regularly required to sit, stand, talk, and hear. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or touch. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk.
- The employee is regularly required to lift up to 10lbs. The employee is frequently required to lift and carry up to 25 lbs. for subassemblies and boxes or bins of parts. The employee is occasionally required to lift up to 75 lbs. for completed assemblies and fixtures.
- Specific vision abilities required by this position include close and color vision, peripheral vision and depth perception.
- The employee is occasionally required to work near moving/mechanical parts.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
- Personal Protective Equipment required to safely perform this job includes safety shoes at all times, and safety glasses when working in the Machine Shop or specific tasks as required.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent, 3-5 year's related experience and/or a strong mechanical/electrical aptitude.
