Job objectives
Safely and efficiently transfer the products from assigned lines to the main freezer following all company policies and good manufacturing practices.
Responsibilities
- To take away all produced products in their final packaging from assigned lines and transfer them to the main freezer.
- To accurately account for all products transferred to the freezer by properly logging the different amounts in the production logs.
- To properly palletize the different products in the freezer according to the different palletizing patterns.
- To check and blow down the coils of the spiral freezer to maintain good temperatures throughout the shift.
- To help with housekeeping tasks in surrounding work areas.
- Follow instructions / training.
- Basic math skills.
- To move objects up to 60 pounds including boxes of finished product, conveyors, taping machines, and packing tables.
- To transfer the cart with finished product to the freezer and palletize.
- To move across the work areas including climbing on stepstools and ramps.
- To drive a forklift and pallet jack.
- To visually inspect the code dates and appearance of the finished packaging presentation.
- To fill out the production logs.
