Overview

**This position can be remote with 5 years of proven analog/digital design experience.**

Design, develop, test, and coordinate the manufacture of electrical systems for hand held appliances including mains driven and battery driven devices for worldwide operation. These systems can include electric motors and controls, and battery charging systems.

Responsibilities
    Confer with engineers, customers, and others to discuss existing or potential engineering projects and products.
  • Design, implement, maintain, and improve the electrical systems, components, products, and systems for commercial, and domestic purposes.Electrical Circuit Design Activities:
  • System/Architecture design
  • Electronic circuit schematic design
  • Electronic circuit simulation
  • Parts selection
  • PCB layouts
  • Prototyping and modeling
  • Electronic testing and design verification
  • Manufacturing support
  • Operate computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks.
  • Direct and coordinate manufacturing, support, documentation, and testing activities to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and customer requirements.
  • Perform detailed calculations to compute and establish manufacturing standards and specifications.
  • Inspect completed products and observe operations, to ensure conformance to design and specifications and compliance with operational and safety standards.
  • Plan and implement research methodology and procedures to apply principles of electrical theory to engineering projects.
  • Prepare specifications for purchase of components of the design.
  • Investigate and test vendors' and competitors' products.
  • Oversee project production efforts to assure projects are completed satisfactorily, on time and within budget.
  • Prepare and study technical drawings, specifications of electrical systems to ensure that the product conforms to standards and customer requirements.
  • Investigate customer complaints, determine nature and extent of problem, and recommend remedial measures.
  • Develop cost estimates of designs, estimating labor and material costs.
Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and at least 2 years of experience required.

Experience in analog electrical circuit design with firmware is a plus.
