Job Description
Join our team who is committed to the delivery of the highest quality health care service.  We are seeking a full-time Facilities Management Director that is self-motivated, energetic, and a take charge individual.

Job Responsibilities:
  1. Contributes to strategic planning by evaluating and projecting future facility and purchasing needs and proposing options to achieve them
  2. Creates and maintains safe, efficient, and beautiful patient and staff spaces
  3. Maintain proactive facility management, which includes
    - Daily and high visibility rounding for service needs
    - High emphasis on internal and external Customer Service from all Facilities staff
    - Collaborative partnership with Clinic Managers and Department leadership
    - Maintaining a high efficiency administrative structure
    - Sharing information to enable continuous improvement of processes and profitability
    - Reducing the prevalence of emergencies and unexpected problems in facilities assets
  4. Developing and implementing purchasing strategies though oversight of (but not limited to) the following
    - Oversight of purchasing activities and supervising staff
    - Contracts, prices, timelines, etc.
    - Maintaining the supplier database, purchase records, and related documentation
    - Using technology to create and maintain efficiencies and reduce costs.
  5. Coordinating inventory control for Facilities and Purchasing Department materials
  6. Maintains, directs, supervises, and evaluates department staff; ensures staff receives training related to specific job tasks and responsibilities
  7. Establish and maintain a professional and efficient Department’s that demonstrates
     - High job satisfaction and retention
    - Mission centric attitudes
    - Proactive approach to service with minimal disruptions to staff and patients   
  8. Directs, schedules, and oversees external contractors (electricians, plumbers, excavators, roofers, painters, landscapers, etc.) and maintains those relationships in a collegial, equitable manner
  9. Reviews and negotiates related contracts
  10. Schedules and supervises Facilities staff engaged in productive building and grounds upkeep and repair, responsible for safety, electrical, plumbing, heating, air conditioning, and ventilation services
  11. Develops and monitors department budget; orders equipment and supplies and monitors inventory; makes requests for capital outlay expenditures as needed.
  12. Develops, implements, and supervises preventative maintenance and renovation programs for buildings, grounds, mechanical and electrical, utility, and safety and security systems
  13. Serves as administrator responsible for facility safety and meeting physical ADA, Joint Commission and HRSA compliance standards
  14. Prepares specifications for physical building projects; estimates costs of equipment, materials, labor, and supplies; prepares bid specifications for projects, equipment, and contracted services; oversees site and building projects performed by outside contractors
  15. Develops specifications for cost-effective energy management systems; supervises the operations, maintenance, and repair of such systems
  16. Ensures the proper disposal of hazardous/controlled wastes and Personal Health Information (PHI) documentation removal in compliance with regulations and guidelines; works directly with outside agencies such as OSHA, local and state health departments, as required
  17. Evaluates the need for and arranges services and training sessions (HIPAA, bloodborne pathogens, OSHA, MSDS, and other job-related training) both in-house and off campus
  18. Oversees fleet vehicles maintenance and shipping/receiving activities
     
    Qualifications: 
  1. Bachelor’s degree in engineering, building trades, or related field
  2. Strategic thinking and planning skills with the ability to execute plans to completion
  3. Experience in contract negotiations
  4. Five or more years of experience in maintenance, with three or more years of supervisory experience, or combination of education and experience commensurate with the requirements of this position
  5. Demonstrated success in multi-site supervision
  6. Prefer clinical setting experience  
  7. Demonstrated delivery of high customer service
  8. Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with others
  9. Experience in operational and strategic planning as well as budget development
  10. Ability to effectively communicate ideas and information in written and oral format to administrative staff, professional colleagues, governing boards
  11. Excellent leadership and communications skills
