Job Description
Join our team who is committed to the delivery of the highest quality health care service.  We are seeking a full-time WIC Supervisor that is self-motivated, energetic, and a take charge individual.
 
Responsibilities:
 
  1. Greets WIC participants and assesses for appropriate non-certification contacts, documents, or routes to necessary services.
  2. Performs intake for WIC certifications, mid-certifications, and benefit issuance according to WIC policy.
  3. Answers and attends to all incoming calls; transfers all non-WIC calls to appropriate departments.
  4. Schedules WIC appointments, and sends appointment and benefit reminders via call, text, email or in person.
  5. Processes both in-state and out-of-state transfers of WIC certifications as needed.
  6. Refers participants to additional social services and programs when indicated.
  7. Coordinates Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program benefit issuance activities.
  8. Perform routine physical assessments including height and weight measurements, and hemoglobin and blood lead testing according to WIC Policy and CLIA waiver requirements.
  9. Monitor health screening practices to ensure compliance with requirements outlined in the Wisconsin WIC Operations Manual and CLIA waiver requirements.
  10. Collaborates with Department of Environmental Health staff to coordinate annual trainings and support integrity of testing and documentation practices by Lead Outreach Staff.
  11. Performs routine office tasks such as ensuring forms and supplies are stocked, making copies, and scanning and storing documents in eFile.
  12. Ensures daily opening and closing procedures are followed, equipment is secured, and confidential information is protected.
  13. Uses person-centered skills to provide excellent customer service to clients and co-workers.
  14. Interprets for WIC staff as needed and utilizes interpreter services as appropriate.
  15. Attends required agency and WIC sponsored state and regional meetings as appropriate.
  16. In collaboration with WIC Director and Project Nutritionist, monitor and evaluate clinic flow and other project objectives.
  17. Assist in promoting new and available technology and programming to participants.
  18. Monitor and support all lobby activities including cleanliness and safety, staffing, visitors, material/supply delivery and maintenance and support of necessary technology and other operating equipment.
  19. In conjunction with WIC Director and Project Nutritionist, coordinates logistics for outreach events.
  20. Assists with planning and preparation of regular staff meetings that promote education, training, service provision, and program accountability.
  21. Fosters team building by promoting cooperative goals, building trust and recognizing staff contributions.

Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor’s Degree in a health or service-related field from an accredited College or University, or an Associate’s degree in an Administration or Health related field with previous supervisory or project management experience preferred.  Equivalent combinations of relevant education and experience may be considered.
  2. Bilingual (Spanish/English) spoken/written required (must pass proficiency test at time of hire).
  3. Willingness and ability to learn and troubleshoot required department technology systems.
  4. Valid driver’s license and proof of automobile insurance.
