Job Description
Join our team who is committed to the delivery of the highest quality health care service.  We are seeking a full-time WIC Registered Dietitian that is self-motivated, energetic, and a take charge individual.

Responsibilities:
  1. Determines WIC eligibility by identifying risk factors.
  2. Assesses nutritional needs and provides nutrition counseling and follow up for eligible WIC clientele.
  3. Develops individual care plans and provides anticipatory guidance for WIC clients.
  4. Monitors client care follow up recommendations as written in the WIC participant Care Plan.
  5. Modifies Care Plans according to changing client and family needs.
  6. Completes documentation in the following ROSIE fields during certification appointments: Pregnancy, Breastfeeding, Health, Diet, Risk, Immunization, Benefits, Care Plan, Finish, Education and Comments.
  7. Determines Food Instruments (FI) issuance interval, tailors FI benefits based on client needs, and prints FI.
  8. Refers clients to appropriate social and community resources.
  9. Provides individual nutrition education and diet counseling to high-risk clients.
  10. Authorizes requests for prescribed non-contract special formulas.
  11. Makes and approves medical referrals to qualified health professionals.
  12. Plans, conducts, and evaluates group and individual nutrition education classes.
  13. Participates in preparation and delivery of nutrition education materials.
  14. In conjunction with Project Nutritionist, actively participates in the training of dietetic students.
  15. Reads and follows all policies and procedures in the on-line Wisconsin WIC Operations and ROSIE User’s Guide.
Qualifications:
  1. Registered Dietitian and must maintain RD credential during the time of employment.
  2. One to two years of WIC, maternal or child nutrition experience desirable, but not required.
  3. Excellent written, oral and electronic communication skills.
  4. Ability to communicate effectively with individuals and groups.
  5. Bilingual (Spanish/English) strongly preferred.
