Summary Under general supervision, the general laborer performs a variety of tasks to include;
Essential Functions Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Operate a variety of hand and power tools, including drills, forklifts, skid loaders and other tools as directed by management.
Clean and prepare construction sites as needed, including erecting scaffolding, removing and properly disposing of debris and waste materials, and digging trenches.
Shovel materials to and from construction areas, including asphalt and dirt.
Follow all safety procedures on the job site and report violations immediately to management.
Maintain a safe and clean job site by handling materials and storing them properly, picking up and removing all tools and equipment when not in use, and securing the job site on a daily basis.
Load and unload construction supplies from trucks both manually and with the use of equipment.
Essential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Forklift certification

Able to work additional hours as needed per the job
Required Education and Experience
High School diploma or equivalent
Ability to travel to project work sites.
Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
1-3 years of related work experience in a construction industry is a plus.

Work Environment and Physical Demands This position will include work at the company equipment yard and at construction sites where duties will be performed both indoors and outdoors. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, stoop, crouch, bend and reach above shoulders. The employee frequently is required to use hands to manipulate objects, tools or controls; and talk and hear. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and depth perception. Ability to work at heights wearing a full body harness and pass medical evaluation and applicable testing to wear a respirator when required. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be working in the typical conditions of a construction environment including seasonal variation in temperatures and the outside environment. The employee must comply with the assigned location PPE requirements including but not limited to safety glasses, hearing protection, appropriate gloves, clothing and shields for required tasks and closed toed or safety shoes as required by the job site location.
