Job Description
Who are we?
Since 1920, our culture at Catholic Charities has been defined by our mission to “provide service to those in need, to advocate for justice and to call upon others to do the same.” We provide several social services that focus on serving the poor, vulnerable, and marginalized in communities across the 10 counties of Southeastern Wisconsin.

A career at Catholic Charities blends social service with professional advancement. Our staff is made up of a diverse group of individuals who are committed to serving clients of all faiths and backgrounds.  We are a proud recipient of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel Top Workplaces award, for 2016, 2017, 2018, and 2020.

What is the purpose of our Pregnancy & Parenting Support Program?
The goal of Catholic Charities' Pregnancy & Parenting Support Program is to increase healthy birth outcomes among at-risk, low-income families by helping individuals develop tools for good decision making. Expectant parents carefully explore all their options and make a thoughtful and appropriate plan for their baby, whether it is an adoption plan or a parenting plan.  Program staff are committed to being the support system through the mother and child’s journey but are also inclusive of providing that support to the father’s journey whose engagement directly effects healthy birth outcomes. Additionally, program staff can continue to serve in their support role to clients through the first year of the child’s life.

The Pregnancy & Parenting Support Program provides comprehensive, confidential services to people of all faiths throughout the ten counties of the Milwaukee Archdiocese.  We meet with clients at the individual’s home, one of our offices, or within the community.

What will I do as a Pregnancy and Parenting Support Case Manager?
Our Case Managers provide ongoing education and support individuals, couples, and families to achieve successful and safe parenting goals. Pregnancy and Parenting Support Case Managers are attentive to client concerns and meet the needs of each whether through their direct assistance or by connecting the client to additional community resources, including, but not limited to, Prenatal Care Coordination (PNCC), supplemental nutrition programs, and parenting education and support. Staff provide knowledge, guidance, and life affirming emotional support through this role, fostering a healthy pregnancy, delivery, and quality of life through loving care for the expectant mother’s child.

Why should I apply?
This would be a rewarding and challenging opportunity for a confident, autonomous self-starter who has a passion for helping teens, expecting mothers, and couples in need through parenting support and education from pregnancy through the first year of the child’s development.

Benefits within this position include ongoing training, competitive Health, Dental, and Vision insurance plans, generous Paid Time Off and Holidays schedules, and 403(b) plan with company matching and contribution.

What are the requirements?
Candidates are required to have a bachelor’s degree in Social Work, or related field required, such as: Human Development and Family Studies, Human Services, Psychology, or Sociology. Prior experience at a not-for-profit agency and 2 years of previous experience in family services or health care, preferably focusing on prenatal and child development, is a plus.

As a Pregnancy and Parenting Support Case Manager, you will travel to client’s residence which requires a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and vehicle insurance (liability coverage: $100,000/person and $300,000/accident).
