Job Description
Join our team who is committed to the delivery of the highest quality health care service. We are seeking a full-time Patient Accounts Supervisor that is self-motivated, energetic, and a take charge individual.

Responsibilities: Manage and Supervise the Patient Accounts Department to include Billing, Collections and Follow-up. Directly supervise, recruit, hire, orient, discipline, develop and evaluate Patient Accounts staff. Develop and implement short-and-long-term work plans. Oversee and manage all daily office operations of the Patient Accounts Department. Develop guidelines for prioritizing work activities, evaluate effectiveness, and modify activities, as necessary. Establish deadlines for work assignment and completion. Monitor work status and progress. Identify, analyze, and resolve workflow problems. Provide coaching to employees to drive business skills and operating proficiency. Assist in managing all timely billing of all charges within timely carrier filing limitations to maximize revenue and minimize adjustments. Manages the Collections Agency. Ensure compliance with all federal and state regulatory agencies governing healthcare agencies. Resolve operational problems and conflicts and keep lines of communication open with staff and other departments to ensure high productivity and moral. Serve as a role model for customer service, and mentor staff to ensure that patients are treated courteously by staff. Ensure that requests for information are handled promptly and effectively. Address departmental and clinical staff difficult questions and keep informed of the latest developments in his/her area of specialty.
 
Qualifications:
  1. High School Diploma or GED
  2. A minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in a medical office setting
  3.  Knowledge of medical practices, terminology, and reimbursement polices
  4. Proven supervisory experience and demonstrated ability to train, supervise and motivate staff
  5. Ability to maintain effective working relationships with staff, patients, the public, and private and public health organization representatives
  6. Ability to relate well to people from diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds
  7. Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and office applications software
  8. Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred
