Job Description
Join our team who is committed to the delivery of the highest quality health care service.  We are seeking a full-time EMR Clinical Support Coordinator that is self-motivated, energetic, and a take charge individual.

Responsibilities include: The EMR Clinical Support Coordinator is responsible for collaborating with clinical support and operational teams to evaluate, redesign, standardize and document clinical support workflows and processes in the EMR.  This position is also responsible for facilitating onboarding and day-to-day training of the EMR for clinical support staff to drive achievement of organizational goals.
  1. Analyze patient, clinical, provider, and/or information systems data to drive workflow enhancements and optimization to services supporting patient care such as scheduling, registration, and referrals.
  2. Assess end user knowledge and use of appropriate EMR functionality related to clinical support workflows and develop action plans to optimize processes and increase staff adoption.
  3. Create and utilize training curriculum to train and instruct the clinical support staff on the use and features of the electronic medical records software effectively.  Coordinate training of Super Users for clinical support areas.
  4. Track and monitor competency and efficiency of EMR use by clinical support staff and modify training materials, as necessary.  
  5. Provide user acceptance training (UAT) and facilitate testing of EMR releases tied to clinical support workflows such as scheduling, registration and referrals.
  6. Develop and coordinate communication and training about future EMR changes, upgrades, and downtimes to clinical support staff.
  7. Collaborate with QI Department team members, such as the Clinical Informatics Analyst, on Change Management processes and documentation standards in the EMR. 
  8. Monitor templates and forms and edit as needed in collaboration with QI Department team to ensure the data dictionary is current and workflows achieve reporting and quality needs of the organization.
  9. Review EMR release notes for relevance and communicates issues/concerns.
  10. Conduct classroom training, administer tests, and develop and maintain training regimens related to applicable workflows for newly hired staff.

Qualifications:
  1. Minimum of Associates Degree (or equivalent years of experience) in Healthcare-related field, Information Systems, or Computer Science, Bachelors preferred
  2. At least three years of related experience in clinical support systems and knowledge of EMRs and/or scheduling and registration workflow.
  3. Knowledge of spreadsheet, process mapping and word processing software.
  4. Proficient in the use of the internet, SharePoint, Teams and email applications.
  5. Understanding of clinical workflow processes and the ability to interpret into application design.
  6. Knowledge of medical practice management applications.
  7. Willingness and ability to adapt to change, including advances in technology.
  8. Ability to build consensus and work effectively across departments and organizational levels.
  9. Strong interpersonal skills that can be used to effectively collaborate on work with others. Ability to interact well with individuals, both internally and externally, and effectively communicate.
  10. Self-driven with the ability to work independently. Demonstrate a results-orientation, determination, ownership of responsibility, reliability, and accountability, and yet function as a team member and follow direction as part of a team under general supervision.
  11. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to teach and develop and maintain relationships with others.
  12. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to handle tasks independently.
  13. Ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  14. Excellent customer service skills and commitment to providing the highest level of customer satisfaction.
