Positon Summary: Set up, check routine programs, and operate automatic or semi-automatic numerically controlled machine tools and/or CNC machining equipment and/or vacuum forming equipment.
Essential Responsibilities: (other duties as assigned)
Work from instructions defining tooling applications and coding, fixture and machine arrangements and console settings.
Mount and secure tooling in rack or turret; align and secure fixtures and work piece and check to establish reference points.
Set stops and machine travel.
Correlate machine position with controls.
Manually cycle machine to check tooling, fixture, and/or work alignment, clearances, stops, etc. to program specifications, make adjustments to bring tolerances and finish requirements to specifications.
Operate drill presses, band saws, APM vacuum former, Kuka robot and other equipment as necessary.
Note and report variations in program sequence, positioning, cycle time, etc.
Assist with prove-out of programs for new work or critical variations.

Qualifications:
Minimum 1-2 years machining or fabricating experience in manufacturing environment
Ability to drive forklift and maintain certification
Ability to operate cranes and hoists
Experience with power tools
Attention to detail
Consistent and timely attendance required
Ability to follow directions
Ability to understand/communicate basic English desired
Physical / Mental Demands:
Ability to lift, bend, walk, and stand for extended periods of time.
Moderate to heavy lifting = average of 30 pounds regularly (about 1 time per hour) and possibility of up to 50 less frequently
Reaching. Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction
Fingering. Picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working, primarily with fingers rather than with the whole hand as in handling
Grasping. Applying pressure to an object with the fingers and palm
The worker is required to have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, quality and thoroughness of the work
