Patient Advocate

Job Description
Join our team who is committed to the delivery of the highest quality health care service. We are seeking a full-time Patient Advocate that is self-motivated, energetic, and a take charge individual.
Responsibilities include: Assist client's with applying and understanding the Sliding Fee Program, Badger Care Plus, Affordable Care Act (ACA) Market Place Insurance, or related program in clients language or with interpretation services, advocate and work closely with outside agencies/organizations, internal and external outreach activities, responsible for preparing and maintaining detailed accurate documentation required for eligibility, responsible for attending and retaining information related to educational and training opportunities for Sliding Fee Program, Badger Care Plus, (ACA) , and additional program as required, accept payments, set up payment plans, where applicable complete daily site deposit/maintenance of site change funds, answer all inquires in person and on the telephone relating to scheduling appointments for the department, patient billing and insurance related questions.
Successful applicants will have at minimum the following:

Successful applicants will have at minimum the following:
- High school diploma or GED.
- ACA Certified Application Counselor (where applicable)
- Superior oral and written communication
- Working knowledge of computers and office applications software
- Ability to relate well to people from diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) required
