The Department of Psychology and the School of Statistics in the College of Liberal Arts at the University of Minnesota invite applications for a full-time, tenure-track position specializing in quantitative psychology and statistics to begin fall semester 2014 (August 25, 2014).

Appointment will be 100% time over the nine-month academic year (late-August to late-May), and will be made at rank of tenure-track assistant professor, consistent with collegiate and University policy. Salary is competitive.

This position will be a joint appointment in the Department of Psychology and the School of Statistics, with the tenure home decided by the chosen candidate, in consultation with the chair of Psychology and the director of Statistics. The percentage of work effort devoted to each unit will be determined in consultation with the candidate but is expected to be approximately 50% in each unit.

A Ph.D. in Quantitative Psychology/Psychometrics, Statistics or related field is required.

Candidates will be evaluated according to a) overall quality of their academic preparation and scholarly work, b) evidence of research ability, c) ability to make an interdisciplinary contribution, d) commitment to high-quality classroom instruction and student mentoring, and e) strength of recommendations.

A successful candidate's dossier will demonstrate scholarly distinction, a record of publications, and teaching commitment.
