Job Description
Join our team who is committed to the delivery of the highest quality health care service. We are seeking a full-time Director of Annual Giving for our school-based program that is self-motivated, energetic, and a take charge individual.
 
Responsibilities: The Director of Annual Giving is responsible for the leadership, management, and execution of Sixteenth Street’s annual giving program. Reporting to and working directly with the Vice President of Advancement, the Director of Annual Giving will play a vital role in growing the agency’s philanthropic revenue. In collaboration with the Vice President of Advancement responsibilities include meeting or exceeding the annual fund and events-related fundraising goals; acknowledging, stewarding and growing annual fund contributions; maintaining the donor database; and managing the agency’s volunteer program. The successful candidate will be self-motivated, entrepreneurial, and willing to take complete ownership of critical duties.
 
Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor’s degree required.
  2. Minimum 3-5 years of fund development experience including demonstrated success in individual giving, corporate sponsorship, and special events fundraising and management.
  3. Experience with fundraising and data management systems; Donor Perfect is highly desirable.
  4. Experience with moves management such as prospect identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship.
  5. Knowledge of philanthropy, its regulations and impact to the community, as well as laws, regulations and processes related to charitable giving and nonprofit operations.
  6. Proven success in identifying and soliciting funds and developing strong relationships with donors.
  7. A record of measurable results in organizing and implementing such activities as major gifts, annual gifts, peer-to-peer and online fundraising, and capital campaigns
  8. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills required. Demonstrated ability to write clear and persuasive proposals.
  9. Excellent time management skills and a high degree of organization, careful attention to detail, ability to multitask and to prioritize and manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  10. Demonstrated experience in strategic planning, managing people and budgets, and an ability to work in a hands-on environment.
  11. High energy and passion for Sixteenth Street’s mission is essential.
  12. Ability to work on selected weekdays, nights and weekend evenings as required.
  13. Well-disciplined, self-motivated and goal-driven; able to work with a high degree of independence as well as part of a team.
  14. Ability to appropriately handle confidential matters and information.
  15. Flexibility and willingness to assume new tasks and special projects.
  16. Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office software.
  17. Ability to participate in cross-departmental projects, using tact and diplomacy.
  18. Ability to effectively identify, analyze and solve problems.
  19. Professional maturity and a sense of humor.
  20. Bilingual skills in Spanish preferred.
