Responsibilities:
Oversee the day to day functions of the Patient Financial Services team
Manage training, orientation, performance evaluation of assigned personnel, recommend merit increases, promotions, and disciplinary actions
Develop and maintain operational protocols and policies and procedures for Patient Financial Services
Establish reporting to monitor staff productivity, statistics, and collections
Ensures all team members understand and abide by Sliding Fee Scale, Medicaid, Badger Care enrollment guidelines
Monitor workflow to ensure timely and accurate processing of Medicaid, Badger Care and Sliding Fee Scale applications
Identify opportunities for quality and process improvements
Serve as resource on cross departmental teams on revenue cycle issues includingallowability and implementation of services and reimbursement
Qualifications:
3 to 5 years’ experience in medical practice management, coding, & billing for insurance coverages required
3 to 5 years of Supervisory experience desired
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field desired
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Extensive knowledge of Wisconsin Medicaid and Badger Care
Computer skills including but not limited to Advance user of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word and business intelligence tools
