The Financial Analyst of SEC reporting will assist with all external financial reporting matters (including, but not limited to, preparation of Forms 10-Q, 10-K, and earnings releases) and the technical review of accounting matters to ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and SEC requirements. The position will also assist in maintaining the Company’s internal financial control framework and global finance standard practices. This is a highly-visible position within our organization and requires partnering with global accounting and segment finance teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Preparation of SEC filings and earnings releases to meet regulatory deadlines including:
Preparation of financial statements and footnotes.
Maintenance of supporting documentation for financial statements.
Collaboration with Investor Relations, including review of earnings release, earnings slides and other investor presentations.
Stock-based compensation accounting
Teaming with both internal and external auditors on quarterly reviews, internal control testing and the year-end audit.
Ownership of certain global finance standard practices and external reporting controls, including quarterly balance sheet reviews for global segments
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
2 years of relevant work experience preferred, but not required
Public accounting experience or internship preferred
Superior attention to detail, organization and the ability to work independently
Strong technical accounting skills and familiarity with accounting research tools
Proactive communicator with exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Strong, analytical problem-solving and decision-making skills; ability to identify and resolve issues on a timely basis
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word; SAP/Hyperion knowledge is a plus
