Join our team who is committed to the delivery of the highest quality health care service. We are seeking a full-time AmeriCorps Program Coordinator that is self-motivated, energetic, and a take charge individual.
Responsibilities include: the overall administration and management of the AmeriCorps program at Sixteenth Street Community Health Centers (SSCHC), providing leadership in identifying and evaluating prospective new programmatic initiatives, developing and maintaining effective administrative procedures that are necessary to support the program, training and supervising all AmeriCorps members to meet federal guidelines, developing relationships with various stakeholders. This position involves direct personal contact with AmeriCorps Members, the community, staff, families, patients and clients.
Qualifications:
Previous experience with AmeriCorps, VISTA or a community service program (preferred)
Previous supervisory experience in a medical or social service setting (preferred)
Experience working with a bilingual, multicultural population
Bachelor’s degree in medical or social services field preferred or equivalent experience
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Valid Wisconsin driver’s license, use of an automobile and current automobile insurance
Ability to work occasional evenings/weekends as well as travel in-state and out-of-state as necessary
Experience in use of computers, Microsoft Office and social media.
