We are seeking a contract Data Analyst for a major manufacturing company in Milwaukee.
Description:
The data analyst works on an analytics team that supports the Parts & Accessories Portfolio Management organization. Primary responsibilities include creating reports using tools such as Tableau, Excel, Access, and Business Objects. It requires integrating data from multiple sources into a single report while ensuring integrity of information. It also requires packaging information from multiple reports into a consistently formatted PowerPoint presentation for leadership review.
No programming is required. This is a non-IT role that works heavily with data and reporting. This will include understanding various datasets, preparing and organizing data, understanding stakeholder needs, and creating reports to meet those needs. There will be additional opportunities to streamline processes, analyze business metrics, and collaborate with customers to fulfill ad hoc requests.
A successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a high quality of work (i.e. accurate and clear reporting) and a strong ability to learn.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver core reporting accurately and on time. Examples include: new product revenue reporting, new product sell through, product plan financial summaries, product line strategies reporting, obsolescence planning, collections reporting, quarterly financial review, active SKU count, top accessories by model, top dealers report, and service parts model year information.
Plan and complete ad hoc requests and small projects. Examples include: requests for data (i.e. retail sales, global wholesale sales), various analyses (i.e. collections lifecycle planning, result of phase out decisions, effectiveness of promotions), and data management (i.e. developing a process to identify dealers with quality data).
Manage data and streamline processes as appropriate.
Education Required:
This position requires a bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Market Research, Operations and Technology Management, Supply Chain Management, Mathematics or a related field.
Experience & Skills Required:
Typically requires a minimum of 2 years business analysis experience
Experience working with large datasets, merging data from multiple datasets, and data preparation
Highly capable in Excel including pivot tables and advanced formulas (i.e. VLOOKUP, COUNTIF, SUMIF, etc.)
Working knowledge of MS Access or database concepts including join types and queries
Experience with Tableau strongly preferred
Must be thorough, detail-oriented, and demonstrate personal integrity
Must have an ability and desire to learn
Strong organizational and communication skills preferred
