Full or Part Time Visual Merchandiser/ Color & Design Consultant will work directly with family members and the VS Team to ensure full understanding of the store’s merchandising standards, expectations and opportunities.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Collaborates with Visual Merchandise Team to plan & execute floor moves
Ensures the showroom floor is displayed and tagged properly on the sales floor
Maintains store appearance to merchandising & cleanliness standards
Assist lead family members in attaining merchandising & operational objectives
Interacts with customers and co-workers professionally while projecting a positive attitude and a sense of professionalism
Acknowledges and assists customers to ensure a positive and successful experience
Demonstrates a high level of integrity along with being a team player
Participates in new store set ups and sales/visual meetings
Educates store team on areas that have been re-merchandised (specific to sales floor, pricing and tagging)
Education & Formal Training
Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
Ability to examine issues both strategically and tactically
Ability to carry out detailed tasks and projects with minimal direction or supervision. Self- Starter is a plus!
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build positive working relationships
Ability to work flexible hours to meet the needs of the business. Sunday Closed to be with family except major holiday weekends the store will be open.
Please note the store is closed on Sunday to be with family (except major holiday weekends), Annual store wide holiday vacation July 1 thru July 8th (each year the days vary over July 3 & 4), Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
Experience & Skills
Previous visual display experience required, preferably in a retail environment
Possesses a positive “go-getter” and energetic attitude
Excellent organizational, time management
Demonstrates passion for home furnishing style trends, shares enthusiasm and passes that onto the consumer
Ability to maneuver around the store and stock room
Must have ability to safely lift minimum of 30 lbs. without restrictions
Able to reach overhead, bend, kneel, and carry product, necessary for customer service, re-stocking inventory, processing shipment and store merchandising
Ability to use and climb ladders safely
Maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude and ability to deal effectively with customers, management, employees and outside contacts while working under pressure and meeting deadlines with attention to detail
Wonderful store hours Weekdays: 10 to 8, Saturday: 10 to 6 and Sunday Closed to be with family (except 5 holiday weekends/special events)
*Off on Sundays (except 5 Sundays mostly during major holiday weekends)
Lunch provided on Saturdays
Storewide July 4th vacation every year (storewide vacation varies from 5-7 days off)
