Join our team who is committed to the delivery of the highest quality health care service. We are seeking a full-time Infection Control Director that is self-motivated, energetic, and a take charge individual.
Responsibilities include: administrative responsibility and accountability for the management and direction of the operational, personnel and activities outlined in the Infection Control plan. These functions are coordinated with department heads, medical staff, Medical Assistants and others and are performed in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations and Sixteenth Street Community Health Centers mission, policies, procedures, and standards.
The ICD is accountable for decreasing the incidence and transmission of infectious diseases between patients, staff, and the community. Through strategic planning, leadership and consultation, the ICD will lead in the identification and implementation of infection prevention goals and objectives throughout all SSCHC clinical facilities.
Qualifications:
Minimum of Bachelor Nursing degree required.
Minimum 3 years of experience in infection prevention and management experience required.
Knowledge of Joint Commission on Accreditation of Ambulatory Care Organization standards preferable (willing to train strong candidate), Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) final ruling on Blood borne Pathogens Law, and other regulatory standards.
Must have excellent communication (written and verbal) skills and be Spanish/English fluent.
Must be able to adjust to sudden changes of priorities and quantity of workload.
Resourceful, responsible, and able to work irregular and/or long hours with little advance notice.
