Fab Lead/Supervisory Roles
Job Duties and Responsibilities include and not limited to the following:
Schedule and assign jobs in the department to facilitate satisfying customer demand based on lean manufacturing principles and raw material supplies.
Review shop floors prior to production for accuracy, raw material availability, and to have necessary tooling available to expedite production.
Communicate to the Forming Team Leader of any unnecessary delays or issues that impede daily performance.
Compile and/or document current departmental procedures including set ups, processing, production, preventative maintenance, safety, and clean up.
Responsible for training and documentation of such for all employees in the department (hands on demonstration, verbal communications, and written documentation).
Utilize Lean Manufacturing and QRM principles to reduce set up times, improve quality, and safety.
During set up and processing of CNC Machines, the Manufacturing Coordinator needs to assist operator in an effort to train and expedite set-ups. Fill in as needed for set ups or production.
Assist in the hiring, assessing, and disciplining of all personnel that report to the Manufacturing Coordinator.
Be proficient in blueprint reading, measures, and materials.
Train, communicate, monitor, and discipline as needed guidelines outlined in the Midland Plastics employee hand book to include but not limit to attendance, safety, and performance.
