Job Description
JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for supporting the assigned base supply store market (inside Homestead ARB and 50 miles assigned market) and outside sales team in creating new customers and opportunities to grow the market share. 
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Meets or exceeds the in-store and online market sales goals by developing new customer relationships and growing opportunities with existing customers. Appraisals will be based on sales volume and performance.
  • Spends 25-30 hours per week selling in the 50 mile assigned federal marketplace.
  • Works closely with Sales Team in developing sales strategies to leverage the unique characteristics of this specific federal market to our advantage.
  • Presents trainings and professional presentations in front of small to large groups.  This is done both in person and virtually.
  • Networks and forms strategic relationships with contacts at work conferences and trade shows.
  • Completes weekly activity reports, monthly sales reports and required through CRM (Salesforce) database system.
  • Attends weekly and biweekly meetings.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
 
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent is required
  • Must have 2-3 years of previous sales experience. Must have experience of the Federal marketplace and knowledge of government sales and/or prior military related acquisition background or related experience.
  • Must be trained in professional selling techniques that are based on customer needs analysis and the fulfillment of customer needs.
  • Must be self-motivated.
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of the AbilityOne Program is extremely helpful, along with experience with Military, Federal Government, and State Use organizations.
  • Strong computer skills are required to assist with presentations, sales planning, and online internet training, and reporting through CRM (Salesforce).
  • Portraying a professional image is a must.

  • Lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Stand in a trade show environment several hours at a time
 
Work Environment: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee may encounter.
  • 50-75% dedicated to work off base in 50 mile assigned market.
