We’re Ready to Grow and you can help! The Wisconsin Veterans Chamber of Commerce is creating a new, ground-floor opportunity for a confident person with a passion for serving veterans, military service members, and military families.
How would you like to join a small, enthusiastic team that works to improve the lives of small business owners? Where your passion and persistence will be appreciated and well-rewarded? Where there is plenty of opportunity for personal and career growth and advancement?
Wisconsin Veterans Chamber of Commerce is ready to grow, and we need your help to fulfill our vision to promote economic opportunity for military veterans, military families, and veteran-friendly businesses. We’re looking for a special person who is independent, has well-developed communication skills, is enthusiastic, and a real ability to connect to others.
Your role will involve identifying and enrolling new business members, nurturing relationships with existing members, and providing an exceptional level of service for our members. You will also coordinate chamber volunteers and programs, and help us develop initiatives to serve our members.
People describe you as decisive, outgoing, persuasive, self-reliant, and organized – with a healthy attitude for fun and a quick smile! You see yourself as a self-starter, assertive, with an energetic and engaging approach to work.
An independent leader, you are goal-orientated, love variety, work effectively with little oversight, and enjoy an invigorating, fast-pace environment.
Your leadership skills are apparent as you direct and drive our team through proactive problem solving and plenty of thinking “outside the box”.
You are excited to take advantage of this opportunity to learn and grow in ways you never anticipated. You’ve attended college, and have some experience managing others.
You are able to learn quickly; you’re proficient with Windows and Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Your experience using search engines and managing social media platforms is an asset.
This is a full-time position. Our office is located in the historic 3rd Ward in Milwaukee. Our complete compensation package reflects our healthy appreciation for balance in life, and offers significant incentives for the results you achieve - as well as those we achieve as a team.
