Hours: Full Time – Department Hours: 8:00 AM-5:00 PM Monday-Friday, Occasional Evenings and Weekends
Reports To: Mortgage Operations Manager
Job Responsibilities:
Order all needed documentation / services on new mortgage applications (titles, flood zones, VOE, appraisals, etc.)
Review all new documentation (incoming mail, title policies, appraisals) for accuracy and file implications
Submit files to Underwriting in a timely manner
Keep Mortgage Consultants up to date on the status of their applications-in-process
Work closely with Mortgage Consultants and provide assistance in obtaining additional documentation from customers and/or other sources to clear any prior-to-close conditions on assigned files
Coordinate with customers, realtors, attorneys and internal points of contact (Mortgage Consultants, Fulfillment Specialists, etc.) to schedule loan closings
Maintain Reg. B compliance including completion and mailing of Notice of Incomplete letters
Assist other members of the Mortgage Operations team as needed
Handle any additional projects, tasks or ongoing responsibilities as assigned by Mortgage Operations Manager or VP-Manager of Mortgage Lending
Requirements:
At least 2 years’ experience in secondary market residential mortgage loan processing
High school degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
Experience in a customer service role, ideally in a financial services environment
Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask
High levels of accuracy, attention to detail and consistent follow-through
Strong computer skills, particularly in Excel
Strong verbal and written communication skills; Spanish fluency is a plus!
Desire to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Desire to work in a community bank and represent WSB in a professional and ethical manner at all times
