Job Description
Stonecast Products is a fast growing company and premier provider of superior precast concrete architectural wall panels and custom cast stone. For over 20 years we have partnered with Architects, General Contractors, Mason Contractors, and Design-Build firms to create innovative designs, while providing industry-leading product quality and service. The work for this position takes place in an indoor plant and is year-round.
Job Description:
The successful candidate who joins our company will assist in a variety of duties in our precast concrete yard and will have a hard-working and team player attitude.
Duties:
Assists yard crew in sandblasting, patching, acid etching of concrete products
Ability to learn to operate 65 ton all-terrain crane to move large wall panels & other concrete products
Loading concrete products on various delivery vehicles, ensuring security and safety for transporting
Operate front end loader to transport various materials
Assemble concrete products on pallets and wrap securely and appropriately for delivery to job site
Labeling packing slips on concrete pieces for proper job identification and correct transporting
Organize and clean yard and remove debris to keep a safe environment for all employees and clients
Provide appropriate yard maintenance, i.e., snow plowing, shoveling, salting as needed
Maintain yard vehicles and equipment as needed to ensure all are being kept in good working condition
Perform crane rigging and signaling for drivers as needed
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Skills Required:
The ability to lift 50 pound repetitively several times a day
General understanding of yard vehicles and equipment
Proven experience using crane, forklift, skid loader, semi yard trailer
General understanding of concrete preferred
The ability to follow direction from supervision
The ability to work in inclement weather conditions, year-round
Good housekeeping skills
Good communication and teamwork skills
The ability to operate equipment safely
Strong work ethic
The ability to work overtime as needed
Willingness to be at work on time every day!
