The Sales Application Engineer supports the assigned product line(s) providing technical information regarding product application to customers, and providing technical support to the engineering department to ensure the meeting of customer product requirements, in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Respond to internal and external customer requests for technical information regarding assigned product line(s) for company products and their application. Provide basic technical information and application support to customers for the company’s product line(s) that are not the primary assigned product line(s), as needed.
Assist in meeting the Company’s sales and profit goals.
Provide product quotations as requested by customers and process the orders from the quotations.
Act as a technical resource between the customer and engineering during the order process to address and resolve inquiries and technical applications to ensure customer requirements are met.
Field customer calls and address and resolve inquiries and technical problems. Direct customers to the correct internal employee to provide any needed assistance.
Provide customer training as needed. Create and maintain training material.
Complete special projects as assigned.
Maintain technical competency and remain current in technology and changes in the industry.
Attend trade shows and standards meetings as required.
Requires 3% - 5% travel.
Complete and maintain all required paperwork, records, documents, etc.
Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations. Maintain departmental housekeeping standards.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Requires a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
