Echo Lake Foods, Inc. has an immediate opening for a Controller. This position will directly report to the General Manager and the CFO. This individual will be responsible to plan, direct, coordinate and control all accounting functions and financial reports.
Duties May Include:
Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including:
Oversee month end and year end process
Inventory Costing and Gross Margin Analysis
Overseeing product costing (including raw materials, packaging and burden, FIFO Analysis, raw materials through finished good)
Accounts payable/receivable
Payroll and utility analysis
Cash forecasting
Revenue and expenditure variance analysis
Capital Assets reconciliation
Variance analysis, control and costing.
Monitoring of purchase variances
Sales / Use / Payroll Tax
Internal / Divisional reporting
Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies and principles
Coordinate and complete annual audits
Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions
Assign projects and direct staff to ensure compliance and accuracies
Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions
Responsible for meeting financial objectives for multiple locations (Multi-Plant Mfg. Facility)
Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements
Maintaining, analyzing, and reconciling general ledger accounts and activities ensuring each account has proper documentation and complies with GAAP
Overseeing system enhancements and implementations
Education, Experience, and Skills Required:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from an accredited program
3-5 years experience in a manufacturing environment required
3-5 years experience supervisory experience required
Inventory Experience is required
Ability to plan, coordinate and delegate
Project management experience required
Microsoft Word, Excel & Access required (Strong Excel Experience Required)
Microsoft Dynamic GP and SQL
Must be able to problem solve, identify discrepancies and make recommendations.
Ability to work independently as well as providing strong leadership promoting a team environment
