Job Description
As a Manifold Designer, you will create and update technical documentation in support of Project Engineers and Account Managers.  The Manifold Designer uses Autodesk Inventor coupled with MD Tools and HyDraw to create or modify documentation relating to hydraulic manifold assemblies.  As a secondary responsibility, the Manifold Designer may also be asked to support the design of other components and assemblies as time and experience allows.  Documents maintained or created include:  Assembly Drawings, Schematics, Bills of Materials, Test Procedures, and Fabrication Drawings.  Other key tasks performed by the Manifold Designer include working with custom component suppliers, obtaining quotes, and participating in project meetings.
 
This position requires the ability to work and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.  The successful candidate will interact closely with others including sales, manufacturing, purchasing, suppliers, and customers.  This assignment includes creating and organizing full documentation packages, processing Engineering Change Orders, and minor project responsibilities.  This is an excellent opportunity if you are self-motivated, organized, thrive in a fast-paced team environment, and have a desire to work with a wide variety of electro/hydraulic control systems.
 
Required
 
  • 2-year degree in Computer Aided Design or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in designing and detailing mechanical and electrical assemblies.
  • Experience with designing components that include aesthetic or ergonomic features.
  • Three to five years of experience with Autodesk Inventor, MDTools and HyDraw or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with fluid power systems and components.
  • Familiarity with machining and fabricating processes.
