Summary
Under the direction of the Director of Purchasing, the Traffic Coordinator provides support for Purchasing and other departments, in accordance with company policies and procedures. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Set up trucking for incoming/outgoing loads.
Enter data for purchase orders into computer.
Send purchase orders to vendors.
Send forecasts and price requests to vendors.
File purchase orders, requisitions and miscellaneous processing slips in appropriate locations.
Distribute requisitions to accounting department and requestor.
Enter data for quotes into computer system and file quotes.
Complete and maintain all required paperwork, records, documentation, etc.
Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations. Maintain departmental housekeeping standards.
Obtain quotes from trucking vendors/brokers.
Bill of ladings.
Communicate with all Shop, Drafting, Engineering and Sales personnel.

An Associates degree in a related field or 1 to 2 years of related experience; or a combination of education and experience. Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as purchase orders, requisitions, quotations, and various other related documents. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to communicate effectively to vendors and other employees of the organization. Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent. Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Physical Demands
