Job Description
Join our team who is committed to the delivery of the highest quality health care service.  We are seeking a full-time VP of Community Health Initiatives (CHI) that is self-motivated, energetic, and a take charge individual.

Responsibilities include:
Participate as an active, contributing member of the Sixteenth Street Leadership Team, attend regular LT meetings, periodic retreats and team building activities and meetings of the Board of Directors as requested, participate in strategic planning activities and help align agency strategic initiatives to client and community needs, provide leadership and management of operations that ensure a strong and stable agency financial position, including participation in revenue generation, grant seeking and fund development activities, contribute to the development of Sixteenth Street’s advocacy positions on matters of local, state and federal policy, serve as a member of the Quality Improvement Committee, provide strategic guidance, direction and ongoing support to all programs within CHI (Environmental Health, Healthy Choices, HIV, Parenting Resource Center, Social Services and WIC), Establish and maintain alignment of CHI programs to the needs of Sixteenth Street clients and the broader community, create and oversee structures and mechanisms that ensure effective communication and proper planning, maintaining, tracking, evaluating and reporting of community health activities, ensure ample financial and human resources to achieve and maintain program effectiveness, identify emerging community health models and new program opportunities within Sixteenth Street that address Social Determinants of Health and other factors contributing to poor population/community health outcomes, oversee the supervision of managers and staff to ensure high quality program delivery and consistency with the agency employee handbook and other relevant policies and procedures, approve and oversee annual department and program budgets as part of the agency fiscal year budget process, promote and maintain positive relationships with external project partners, represent SSCHC within community health coalitions and on advisory boards as appropriate, and at community functions and conferences at the local, state and national level.

Successful applicants will have the following: 
  1. Advanced degree in a public health or science discipline; consideration will be made for a suitable combination of previous academic and professional experience.
  2. Substantial experience in all aspects of community-oriented program development and management, including supervision of staff, grant development/reporting, monthly and annual budgeting, program analysis and evaluation.
  3. Ability to relate well to people of various ages and from diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds.
  4. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  5. Bilingual (Spanish/English) communication skills preferred.
  6. Ability to work independently and in a group setting.
  7. Proficiency with MS Office and experience with MS Access or similar database platforms.
  8. Valid Wisconsin driver’s license, use of an automobile and current automobile insurance.
