STATUS: Full-time REPORTS TO: Executive Director SALARY: Commensurate with experience
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Associate Director is a leader within the ACTS organization and is charged with overseeing ACTS’ internal operations so that ACTS can achieve its vision of vibrant Milwaukee neighborhoods through homeownership.
The Associate Director:
acts as a coach and mentor to all staff
identifies long and short term strategic goals for ACTS programs
develops written processes for implementing organizational goals
identifies training needs and opportunities for all staff
oversees human resources functions
RESPONSIBILITIES:
works with the planning group to develop a strategic operations plan
supervises the work of the Directors of Homebuyer Counseling, Home Rehab Counseling, and Real Estate Sales and meets weekly with each of the Directors
directs the human resources function within ACTS, including maintaining a current employee handbook
job descriptions, and overseeing hiring processes
assists staff to resolve operational challenges as they arise
develops agenda and plans for staff meetings and bi-annual retreats
attends the counseling, rehab, and real estate group meetings
staffs meetings of the Board of Director’s Program Committee
tracks ACTS progress toward organizational goals
ensures staff has appropriate technology and training
represents ACTS at meetings and partner events
other duties as assigned by the Executive Director
Five or more years’ experience as a leader of a diverse team
High degree of accountability, professionalism, and initiative
Excellent oral and written communication
Strong emotional intelligence
Experience working in a nonprofit environment preferred
Experience with homebuyer counseling, real estate, rehab, or lending desired
Bilingual preferred (especially Spanish or any Southeast Asian languages)
