Our Behavioral Health/Counseling Services is a State certified outpatient behavioral health clinic providing accessible, culturally competent, high quality mental health services for individuals, families, children and couples of all faiths. The Behavioral Health Therapist is responsible for providing psychotherapy, counseling, and other related services.
We are looking for candidates who are passionate about helping those in need and the less fortunate. Qualified candidates must possess a Master’s in either Social Work or a related counseling field . While 3,000 hour certification/LPC/MFT would be a plus, Catholic Charities does offer supervision and continued education for qualified candidates while on the job in order to obtain or complete certification requirements.

Essential Functions
- Provide therapy and counseling to individuals, couples, families and groups; services may be provided in-office, or other settings.
- Maintain appropriate case recording to include diagnosis, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries which meet appropriate quality assurance standards, outpatient mental health, accreditation, managed care, and other applicable standards.
- Maintain appropriate contacts and/or consultation with outside professionals, i.e., psychiatrists, physicians, attorneys, court systems, school personnel, insurance companies, police officers, parents of minors, etc.
- Perform mediation, foster care services, parenting education and other group educations programs in the community as needed.
- Follow professional protocol in reporting abuse/neglect cases, suicide and homicide threats, in compliance with applicable statuses and ethical standards.
- Master’s Degree in Social Work or related counseling field required
- Post graduate clinical practice (i.e. LPC,MFT) and 3,000 hour certification is a plus
- Secure client information per HIPAA standards
